The Poblacion is approximately 29 kilometers from Manila.  The city can be accessed from Marikina via the Sumulong highway which extends to the poblacion, from Cubao, Quezon City via the Marcos Highway, which extends eastwards to Quezon Province as the Marikina-Infanta Road and from  Cainta/Taytay via Ortigas Ext.

Geographical Boundaries
Antipolo is bounded on the north by the town of Rodriguez, on the northwest by the towns of Marikina and San Mateo, on the east by the province of Quezon, on the southeast by the town of Tanay and Teresa and on the northwest by the towns of Taytay and Cainta.

Topography
The topography of Antipolo may be described as generally hilly and mountainous, with the hilly portions lying in the west and the mountanious areas concentrated in the east part of the Sierra Madre Range.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled Republic Act No. 8508 - an act converting the Municipality of Antipolo into a component city to be known as the CITY OF ANTIPOLO.

Henceforth, the City of Antipolo shall be deemed as divided two (2) districts for better supervision and a more efficient delivery of services.
