Antipolo Cathedral
Antipolo is known to be the home of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage (Nuestra Senora de la paz Y Buenviaje).  History say that this miraculous icon has sailed back and forth between Manila and Acapulco eigth times, and on several occassions, was credited with saving her galleon from destruction by pirates, Dutch and British blockades.   The galleon's safe arrivals were attributed to this.  It was on November 26, 1626 that the Archbishop of Manila, Michael O' Doherty, canonized the Blessed Virgin from Acapulco.

The month of May is a fiesta in Antipolo Where thousands of devotees especially those intending to travel abroad come to pay homage to the shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage to ask for a safe voyage.


Hinulugang Taktak (Brgy. Sta. Cruz)
The town of Antipolo was already known for Hinulugang Takgak falls even before World War II.  This mountain rest has picnic cottages; swimming pool, artificial paths and steps to view the waterfalls.  During the month of May, cultural concerts and plays are held in the are fronting the waterfalls.

 


Boso-Boso Church (Brgy. San Jose)
The Boso-boso church is a remnant of a centuries-old church, which was destroyed during the Second World War.  It stands in the grandeur of old stone with wild vines and plants growing on top of the church.  A small chapel was built inside the church offering Sunday services to the parishoners.

 

    

"Unang tinatag bilang simbahan ng mga paring heswita noong labing pitong dantaon at sinailalim sa patronahe ng Nuestra Senora de la Anunciata.   Nalipat ang pangangasiwa sa mga paring sekular noong 1768.  Napinsala ng Lindo noong Hulyo 18, 1880.  Nilisan noong 1930 noong ang bayan ay inilipat upang magbigay daan sa isang panukalang prinsa.  Nagbalik ang taong-bayan sa boso-boso nang hindi naisakatuparan ang gawain.  Ang simbahan ay natupok ng apoy nooong 1943 at ibinalik sa dating kalagayan noong 1995 sa pamamagitan ng kabutihan ng mga mananampalataya."


Pinagmisahan Hills (Via Dolorosa)
Formerly known as "The White Cross", now called as Via Dolorosa at Pinagmisahan St. of Antipolo City.   The groto-like hill is now a very spectacular pilgrim site where regular masses and alay-lakads are held.  The Via Dolorosa features stations of the cross with huge and monumental sizes of saints.

 


Inday Nelly's Mystical Cave
The mystical cave which is also making Antipolo City famous is being maintained by Inday Nelly.  The 8th-floors deep cave attracts not just adventurers and cave lovers, but also education institutions who wants to learn more about stalagmites and the like.  The molds of stones and crystals inside the cave are resemblances of Catholics images, making it yet another pilgrim site to visit in the city.
